It's a cool/clean place and that's why I am giving any star rating. Here, everyone seemed to be minding their business. I had checked in after booking appointment over the phone to have my car checked out for airbag light/warning sign on the app, and my time was 3.30pm. On arrival at the service/repair line, I sat in the car, behind another car hoping that someone would walk up (as is with such facilities) or beckon on me to step out and walk to any of the cubicles or counters. For almost 5 minutes, everyone was just minding their business and took no notice of me driving in or the engine still revving. Eventually, the man at the first desk looked up and asked if I needed anything, and I said yes, I have an appointment. He walked to me and I gave him reasons for my coming. He took my details, went to his desk and ran through the system, walks back to me and asked me to step out of the car which I did. He wanted to drive out, and I asked "where's your waiting room"? "Are you really gonna wait on this one"? ...he asked. I was like, of course, wouldn't you at least diagnose and let me know if it could be fixed by clearing some codes or something deeper is required? "Well, the lobby/waiting room is on the other side", as he points at no specific direction or door. I immediately knew I was either in a wrong place or someone were having a bad/exhausting day. Fast forward, I made my way through the sales/showroom entrance in search of somewhere to wait. Everyone here too was minding his/her business. Lol! No questions, no word, no direction from anyone, as I walked around, figured out for myself where the customer waiting room was. Behold, it was just behind the man who attended to me, and there was a door right there, through which I could have easily walked in from the service center, but I had to walk a long distance searching. Hahaha, I'm sure you find my story hilarious, but that's what happened. Finally, the man returned to me after running carfax report on my car that took him almost 30mins, to tell me, I should return another day, arrange for transportation home and drop off the car for diagnosis. So, all the while I thought they were running a scan on the car, he was running a carfax report. Well, an appointment was scheduled for next day at 8am which out of courtesy for his age I requested, just to quietly leave the facility. Behold, my 45 minutes drive from Washington DC was a waste of time and gas. Happily, I had the issue rectified next day at a smaller auto shop for less time than I waited. If my experience is a reflection of the routine in this facility, then I'd rather commute in public transportation than be a car owner.

As always, just great. I just popped in with two quick questions today. One we quickly fixed in the parking lot (the locking gas cap and I sometimes disagree, as my wrist is arthritic.) The other can be deferred to my next oil change. I have had one great mechanic for over 20 years, and another for nearly as long. And all the service managers are super, too. I'm old, and am off and on a walker and now a new cane. But, all I have to do is mimic a noise or a problem, and everyone takes good care of me. I have 286K on my used 20-year old Saturn, and I still rely on her for 400 - 500 miles a week. Love my Saturn and all the people at King.
